Subsidence Monitoring & Repair

Cracks in your property can be worrying, which is why we're here to help.

SLABsense remotely monitor foundations, slabs and structural movement to find out what’s moving, and why.

As subsidence specialists, we work with homeowners, insurers, loss adjustors and engineers across the UK.

Subsidence monitoring

Our Services

Subsidence Monitoring

Accurate measurement of the ground and its movement so we can understand whether the cracks getting bigger and if subsidence is active, seasonal or already stable.

Slab and floor monitoring

Measuring floors or ground-bearing slabs to see if settlement or heave is occurring, using our monitoring device.

Crack monitoring

Tracking the width of structural and non-structural cracks with daily readings and timestamps.

Crack repair

Using crack stitching, lintel reinforcement and resin injections to restore ground strength.

Structural Repair

Repairing and strengthening walls, floors and foundations affected by ground movement, with as little disruption to your property as possible.

Surveys

We can investigate nearby trees, soil and ground conditions to find out what is causing movement before any repair is recommended.

Who are SLABsense?

When it comes to subsidence you can do one of two things, monitor the crack or repair the damage. We offer a full service approach, installing sensors which monitor crack movement to a fraction of a millimetre daily.

The data tells us what the property needs and if required, crack repair is carried out by our own team. For heavier ground works, we manage the fix with our specialist partners and confirm results with monitoring afterwards.

How our monitoring works

Our monitoring technology works by replacing conventional ground surveys with ongoing real-time data.

Stage 1 - Assessment
We assess the crack and property, discuss what could be causing it and whether monitoring is needed.
Stage 2 - Installation
Installation of the sensor, these are fitted usually within a few hours and is a non-intrusive process.
Stage 3 - Measurement
Measurements are taken daily, with readings captured automatically and to submillimetre accuracy.
Stage 4 - Results
Trends will be shown online using a secure dashboard that graphs movement over time and alerts if crack severity picks up.
Stage 5 - Analysis & Handover
Data will be analysed in time stamped form to identify if repair is needed and passed along to engineers, insurers or loss adjustors to work from.
